Lightweight Solar Panels

First saw these advertised by a camper company, then discovered them on Ebay.

If they are as speced they are ideal for both van top mounting, and also portable use. Getting rid of the glass and the alloy frame certainly save a stack of weight.

Any thoughts or experiences?

At $3 per watt they are still expensive compared to conventional panels that are now at $1 per watt or lower, but very attractive just the same.

Cheers,
Peter
