Gary, thank you for that. I don't like coffee, but there is only one coffee I like and that's capuccinos, one a week is enough for me. I am a tea drinker. But I am dying to try your coffee, we don't have sugar, only artificial sweetener, so that's ok.
Thanks again.

Okay, not quite capuccino, but not bad all the same. There was talk on another thread about a manual capuccino machine that uses no electricity, and is fairly simple to use. But it's expensive. So I suggested the way I make coffee and one bloke thought it was so cool he went to the shop immediately to buy the special ingredient. Ya ready?
Too easy. I just make medium ground coffee in a plunger. While that's brewing for a few minutes, I add half a teaspoon of raw sugar to a mug, and squirt in a liberal amount of pressure-pak cream. You can fill the mug cos the cream is aerated and has little actual body. When the coffee has brewed (about 3 minutes), I pour it over the cream, which dissolves and then forms a creamy, chocolatey foam over the top. Give the contents of the mug a slight stir. What you have is a coffee that looks a bit like a capuccino - sorta, kinda - and tastes pretty damn good. It's also easy and quick to make without buggerizing around with a bunch of gadgets. Caution: the pressure-pak cream is a little on the sweet side, so use a bit less sugar than normal.
I used to whip my own fresh cream, which is totally yummy, but it's a bother, and it doesn't keep all that well. The pressure-pak stuff (although more expensive) keeps well and is no-fuss.
Sounds good but I think it's only for those who need fattening up! (You are right though - I've always said the pressure pack cream is all froth and bubble!)
Yes, I guessed that Chris! He's looking for 'putting on weight' recipes but we've lost the other sort. I felt a bit guilty at all the butter I put in the Anzac biscuits today. In fact it's been so long since I made them I'd nearly forgotten the recipe. They do taste so much better with butter though.
Oh yes, butter, butter, butter. Butter on everything as well as in. Butter on plain cake, plain biscuits, hot toast, on mash, on steaming peas... Butter, butter, butter! Did I say butter?

Oh,I totally agree Gary
Has to be real Butter too,Not a Substitute, won't eat it on anything
and if you can see any part of the Biscuit top,or cake top
You're not using enough Butter, and has to be hard enough
to slice, not spread,Don't like soft runny Butter Either
