Inland HWY

I'm looking at travelling later this year from Dubbo to St George Via Lightning Ridge onto Roma and then following the A7 to Charters Towers as a different route for me to get to Mission Beach to see my kids, I will be towing my Jayco poptop. Can anyone advise if the roads are OK on this route.

Thanks

No problems going that way as far as St. George . Don't know after that .

There has been flood problems up there in some areas , but no reports of roads being still closed .

If the roads are a bit iffy , just slow down and drive to the conditions .

I'll probably be travelling closer to the wet season so will have to check road conditions re flooding closer to the time, I was more interested in road surface conditions like bitumin dirt etc.
Thanks for your replies.

Hi the roads are all sealed some are a bit rough but ok,

check "RACQ Road Conditions" it a really good site to get up to date info on roads.

Thanks Dennis

Should have thought of the RACQ web site, I come from Mission Beach but live in the far south now

Cheers
