What is required to have a satellite tv set up in a motorhome? Do I choose between Vast or pay tv set top boxes?

Is VAST truelly available anywhere in Australia?  If instead I used a Austar/ Foxtel box and subscription would reception be available anywhere ie no matter how remote?

Thanks for your help.

G'day Newgale,

yes VAST is available wherever you can see the sky at the appropriate angles. I would advise a minimum of an 85cm dish as they are easier to aim and will work better in rain. I also use a tripod for my dish so I don't have to bend over or get down on my knees to set it up.

We take our A*star box with us on our trips and it uses the same satellite as VAST
