Be aware, we are off again in three weeks from tomorrow.
Travelling from Hobart to Mapleton (Qld) via the Newell Highway for a four month stopover.
Starting to get excited and have had the car serviced and thoroughly checked over, fitted a new Redarc Smartcharger. Don't want to be embarrassed on the ferry by the car not wanting to start when we get to Melbourne.
Checked the caravan and we are making up our "what to take" lists.
Sometimes I think it would be easier to fit wheels to our home and leave the caravan behind
Anyway, for those members who may live along our route, please keep any eye out for the handsome couple, driving the very bright red Falcon towing the odd looking caravan with the GN sticker on the rear.
If you come over and say G'day, I'll even make an effort to be nice.
A lovely spot is Mapleton, some great trips in the surrounding area, don't worry if you forget to take some item, you can always shop for whatever you need as you travel. Cheers David

Yes, we are at the one in Obi Obi Road, they have given us a great deal ($130p/w) for the three months that we will be there.
We are very excited about it because last year we stayed at Alexandra Headlands and drove up to the Nambour/Mapleton area, looked around and found this park. This stopped us exploring any further so that we would have heaps of things to do this year.
We are also into Geocaching.
When we wish to go further afield, we will pack up the car and travel to a motel/cabin for an overnight stop or two, this way we just use our caravan as a base.

Ken you have done well at that price good location and lots to do in the area .The Maleny Showgrounds is $105 a week location is great but I tink you will be happy were you are at that price
