Satellite tv now going

Well finally got the Sat tv to go after a bit of hassle in getting he dish aligned. Was getting a but hot under the collar when I remembered I had bought a digital satelitte finder from SatPlus. Was so easy to use, had the satellite tuned in no time. The thing that took the time was getting the decoder re-registered. We are now watching Sat TV without the dropout from free to air. No doubt about it the Digital Sat Finder makes the difference especially as its pretuned to the Optus C1 satellite, you don't have to sort it out from the rest.

Happy viewing

Brian.

Satellite tv is available all over Australia. The system is called VAST. Just google "vast tv" to find out more...

As Milo has mentioned the best way to get the info is to visit the VAST tv website. They list all the info you need. I noticed on a recent post that the decoder is now available in a 12 volt model which is great for us nomads.. Enjoy tv wherever you are.

Had our Satplus set-up for almost 2 years now and it has been great.

For Milo,   You get all the free to air TV channels that you get on the terrestrial type plus a few more. You can watch your local news from anywhere once you learn their times. CH4 on the sat system.

At my home in Dubbo we often get drop outs and some freezing with the terrestrial set however not with the satellite system.

My only problem is the programmes leave much to be desired, this goes for both systems.

Yes Milo if you are approved for NSW channels you will see what we see but at a different time due to time zones etc

frank

edit- sorry mate I had to duck away for a moment. When you register as a "traveller" with VAST you tell them where you are touring and they will adjust the channels you receive. The zones are east of the WA border-north and south. West of the WA border all of WA.

Once you register as touring Central and western NSW you dont need to tell them you have moved if you dont want to.

hope that helps but feel free to ask for more detail if you like

you can also find some info at  www.mysattv.com.au
