Beverley WA - 130kms South/East of Perth

Currently in Beverley Caravan Park, 130kms South East of Perth.  It is between York and Brookton.

http://www.beverleywa.com/

The caravan park is behind the Shire Office with a walkway through to the main street, IGA and other shops. etc.  Nice caravan park with new ablution block and well appointed campers kitchen, powered sites are $26 and dogs are allowed on lead.  However for those not wanting power, the fees are only $10 per person, so ideal for solo's.  Same sites are used whether paying for power or not.  Water also to each site and drains.

The campers kitchen has power for laptops and mobile phones etc if not on power.  It has all appliances including a free BBQ under cover, electric stove, microwave etc.

Nice grassed areas for tents, all sites are nice an level.   I will post some pic's on my return.   Those with dogs and especially solo's should keep this one on their list in case they travel along this route.

The community resource centre (CRC) has free internet and email for Seniors, this is in the main street and a very short walk from the caravan park.  A small fee applies to non seniors depending on the amount of time you need to be on the internet or email.  For those wishing to access the CRC facilities on their laptops from in the comfort of their vans can also purchase a docket from the CRC for the time needed if they wish.

Thanks for that as we are hading off to WA very soon and as my wife's name is Beverley we thought it may be nice to stay there. We need to be in Pinjarra by the first week in August as youngest son and daughter-in-law are expecting their third child and the aforementioned has said we will be there to help out.
Cheers
Geoff and Bev

The lower pub (furtherest down the main street) has new owners and a new chef, apparently worth a visit, although I didn't go there.

I mean to mention on my previous post that there is a dump point just behind the caravan park in a large gravel parking area.

Looked to be free from what I could see.   I understand a Chapter of CMCA is holding a rally in Beverely shortly they will be camped at the Apex Park, the carava park only being small.

Great little park Geoff and Bev, would suggest mid week stay if possible and not on public or school holidays, only a small caravan park not sure if bookings required, I just turned up and took pot luck.

There is an on site caretaker there who collects the fees, don't know her contact details.  Might pay to ring the Beverley Shire when you are sure of your dates and see if they can give you a booking or the number for the caretaker.

Hope you have a nice visit to the West and the birth of your grandchild when the time comes.

Best regards

Vic             PS:  I am back home in Perth now, had to return to attend to some plumbing problems at home.....

I recon a lot of small communites/ towns and not so small towns , need to go see how Beverley has developed a place where the travelling public would detour to to stay in .Just the basic requirements that the travelling public requires. With out haveing to take out a bank loan to stay.Good on you Beverley .
