I think if you have a close look ,a dog trailer they have TWO turning points a B Double only has ONE per trailer, a pig trailer has one turning point with multiple axles not ONE.
Ps a B double has turn tables a road train has first trailer with turn table all other trailers with ring feeders.

Despite that he says it is like a B double, it is not.
B doubles are composed primarily of "dog" trailers, which are inherently stable when towed.
These are "pig" trailers which are inherently unstable.

I wonder if anyone has checked the GCM of the tug?

Cheers,
Peter

Peter I will start with your 1st line .

Despite that he says it is like a B double, it is not

If you look at the above drawing you will see that there is a lead trailer with a turntable at the rear with the 2nd trailer connected via it . The van , boat set up is similar as the boat connects via a tow ball at the rear .

B doubles are composed primarily of "dog" trailers, which are inherently stable when towed.

Dog trailers have axles(s) up to 3 at the rear with a turntable at the front connected to a dollie again with up to 3 axles which then connects to a prime mover or semi trailer via a Ringfeder .

The above photo is a dog trailer , (who by the way are called dogs because they wag the tail as they travel) which has 3 rear axles (tri) then is connected to a 2 axle dollie by a turntable , with a A Frame connecting to the prime mover .

The above is a road train .

Further to the above post

A single axle road train dollie

images (2).jpg

Dual axle hooked to a trailer

Tri axle dollie

Six_Wheeler_Caravan_01.jpg

A caravan set up as a dog trailer

None of the above look anything like the photo of the van boat combination
