Dubbo

Thinking of a short trip from Richmond NSW going through Dubbo and working our way back to Richmond.

Any suggestions on the places to visit along the way would be appreciated.

Should be away approx 1 week.

Welcome bmtlg5. If you go up the Putty Road there is a good camp at Grey Gums - before you get to Singleton. Merriwa is a good little town to visit. Depending which month you are going through they have a Festival of the Fleeces.
If you are going the other way, over the mountains, call in at Molong and then go via the small villages of Cumnock and Yeoval to see some 'real' (small) Central West towns. It's Banjo Paterson country.

There's a great camp outside of Brocklehurst just north of Dubbo, on the banks of the river.

Gday...

Two camps near Dubbo that are worthwhile -

Mendooran - http://thegreynomads.activeboard.com/t51536594/mendooran-nsw/

Terramungamine - http://thegreynomads.activeboard.com/t50629600/terramungamine-reserve-dubbo-nsw/

Cheers - John
