Arrived home late Monday night, slept well till 10 am the next day. Now to get back to what I love best. Myrtle wouldn't start so ended up with a new battery and getting a new house battery today. All go and costing a lot. 2 batteries later and nearly 600 dollars.. Luckily I had some cash stached away for the gardener who never came, too late now, spent on batteries. lol
I hear the CMCA singles are already camping up at the showgrounds so will do a drive past shortly to see if anyone I know. A friend is arriving on Monday so will catch up with her before heading off to Wuruma Dam.
Anyone else intending to be there?
New cafe opening here in the main street in a week or so, will keep the town buzzing having a second cafe. Little Biggenden is growing again.
I can't see me ever saving up for a new van so need to do some upgrades on Myrtle to make her more comfortable, not sure what yet but thinking about it. May get the solar panels permanently up top in the well, they are so heavy and a nuisance to get in and out of the van. Then an Anderson plug on the side directly into the battery. That should make life a lot easier.
Another wedding in NZ next March, hoping I can get to that. Heading back down to Vic in late June for the birth of a new grandson, so busy busy.
Something I forgot to mention in the opening thread, there is a Coaster for sale in Echuca, I have no details as this is not an advert, just an observation. Its on the corner of Elizabeth and Pevensey Streets in the owners driveway. It looked in good condition from what I could see. Might be of interest to someone.
See you at Wuruma John and Marjolene, sorry I know thats not spelt right but you know who I mean.
Heading up there Tuesday after catching up with Laura here at the CMCA meet on Mondy. If you don't go to Wuruma I will continue on up that way and drag you out. lol
I'll be there. Just haven't decided what day to come yet. Was coming down with Paul, but he's leaving Saturday now, [ last I heard], and I can't leave 'till after Saturday.
I have had a very expensive week since I arrive home.
New drive battery $170
New house battery $340
New Petrol cap $22
Fitting of house battery and readjusting all the wiring, also resoldering solarpanel clamp He also had to cut the lino out of the floor as battery was a little high for the spot $122
Only to find my inverter doesn't work any more, had a feeling at Greens it had died as Rod checked it out for me and couldn't work it. Had it confirmed today. Thank goodness I have 12 volt adaptors for everything now. Just enough left to get me to Wuruma, will have to stay till next payday, Yippeee !!!!
I'm thrilled. For the first time I have enough power to get me through any length of time. Next I will be looking at mounting the solarpanels permanently up in the well so I don't have the heavy weight to lug in and out of the van. Thats next months plan.
You are getting very organised Marj - good to see - hope you have a great time at the dam - hope to see you before you head south again, are you driving down?

We had heavy rain last night Gerty, yes the grass around the back of sheds etc is waist high. Thankfully lawns are getting mowed regularly and son is also spraying where he can get into. It should be all sprayed as soon as this wet weather disappears. I spent an hour pulling out and clipping back stuff around the front door yesterday. As long as I take it slow will get it done eventually. The gardeners never came back, not sure why. Still waiting for the bits I told them about to get done.
good to hear things are going well for you, I decided against solar panels on the Hi Ace pop up roof because of the weight but I did have some space above the cabin.
Still here in Frankston and will be for a while yet so I will miss Waruma but will definitely visit you in Biggy when I eventually set off north.
Hi John, yes I want to do the same as you did on the Hi Ace. Put them in the well above the cabin. Don't want them on the pop top part, I would never be able to lift it. Good on you John, you know the address. Good luck getting on the road and setting of on your 2nd dream.
