Well it has finaly happened UEC are the manufacture of our vast reciever that we all have been useing for the last couple of years have released a new model
DSR4639 is there new model and if it's anything like the older model, it will sell real well.
This new model can record 2 seperate channels at the same time as well as been able to watch a 3rd channel from within those 2 multiplexes. The HDD has a 500 GB hard drive can record for up to 400 Hrs.
But wait there more .......... This new recorder is desighned to run off 12 Volts DC and comes with a external 240 Volt to 12 Volt power supply. The only fly in the ointment that may be a problem for the grey nomads is you have to change your lmb on your dish for a twin feed version and run a second length of coax cable to your new receiver/ recorder.
I have included a link to a small utube add about this new recorder from UEC. http://t.co/iz3j6Ned9hÂ
Sorry for the delay, found out the RR price of the new vast box .....$544.54. and you will need a duel output LMB and that alone is $48.00. + gst on both at the present.
Thanks valiant81, We bought a vast decoder back Late last year and just realized its due or overdue for re registering. Notice your comment about email re registration. Wonder if you would mind let me know the email address and I will do it today as we are leaving for SA tomorrow and will be using it there.
Thanks
Regards
Brian

You only live once, but if you live it right, once is enough !!!!!!
Hi everyone i was happier with the old strong with vast i find it harder to tune in no audio sound to asssit tuning and cant select de select channels or set favourites
Hi every one; Potach, sounds like your dish may be out of alignment ?? or the scew is off. The first thing you do with your vast reciever once you have found C1 is to tune to CH 800. This is the default channel, once you can recieve this channel and have a normal picture and sound, your will have a banner come up on the screen saying " if you can recieve this channel clearly and have normal sound your dish and lmb are aligned up correctly".
Once you have this " banner " then AND only then do you get in contact with "My satt Tv and give them your pin number. This number is stamped on to the back of your security card that came with the reciever. My satt tv will also need the serial number of the back of your reciever. They will re-ping your reciever and this may take some time so keep trying after a couple of hours. If no good go back to CH 800. Do not un plug your reciever or disconnect the coax cable, while you are waiting for your reciever to be " Pinged ".
One other thing, with a caravan regustation, this has to be done every 6 months. E-mails work the best.
Hi every one; Ok Scotty01 is correct with his answer to you question. E-mail works the best, but you could phone them and that would have the same effect, But i think mysatt is closed on Saturday and Sundays., so they may not get around to re pinging your box till Monday.
This happened to me when i first set up my dish, lmb and new Vast box. Only channels i could get was the default channel. Left the reciever on all week end and still had no reception till i came home from work Monday night. I have had no problems from then on.
One other thing that i have at home is a s/h Austar dish in my roof so as i can plug the reciever in to the dish on the roof and have the reciever in standby all the time. My caravan is on perminant power at home even if only to keep the house battery on charge, keep the clock running in the microwave and for the up dates for the vast reciever.
