Gem fossicking is interesting especially when finding a nice stone, knowing no one else has ever seen this, Nature is grand.
My back is not the best so I dont go at it like digging a foxhole..lol
Slowly slowly.
A mate and were digging in Qld (Sapphires) along came a couple, the husband started to chat with us.
His wife asked if she could fossick on our mound.
"Sure".
She came up and asked "Is this any good"?
*&^$*&^(* She found a very nice yellow Sapphire, we shovelled out.
That night the two of us cried in our wine till, we forgot what we were crying about..laughs.
Good on her we both agreed.
Its a hobby, not a job.

If so did you grab the bone in her nose or the rings?
Or perhaps the rug?
Hope you didnt grab Patima (was that her name)? or the Local Sheik would getya, Ahab the Arab-Duh..

Heading (Somewhere) near Maryborough Vic for a week or so; depends on how much gold I find. laughs.
After, slowly into NSW for anzac Day with mates from my Platoon.
Then (somewhere) (laughs..) round Inverell.
I enjoy scratching around especially for Sapphires. Last time I was in Sapphire Qld, went to Tomahawk creek; found nice party colour Sapphires.
Now and then I drive to Harts Range for Zircons.

We were around Marybrough/ Avoca/ Wederburn/Talbert / Maldon, all really interesting little towns. So much old history all around there. The old locals still recon there is more gold still in the ground ,than has ever been dug out of it.
