My most memorable Easter was, when my children were younger, I used to hide the small Easter eggs around the house and the kids would each get a small bucket. Once they had found their dozen eggs they had to stop looking and leave it to the younger kids. There was a lot of fun, laughing, and "your getting warmer and your getting colder". They were my best Easters.
This year I am going over to my daughters place, who has a husband and four children, and hopefully my son, his wife and their three kids will all be there. I no longer give chocolate at Easter, I just give $10 each to the grand kids. Then they can do what they like.
My grand kids are: From my daughter and her husband Chelsea 9 Luke 7 Aaron 4 Emma 2
From my son and his wife Alexander 4 Eleanor 2 Gabrielle 6 months
What a good idea Monica (EP) - and thanks Grams for the info about your family - celebrating with children is always a lot of fun - my grandkids are all too old for that now - hope you have a great Easter break with a lot of laughs!!

The grandchildren are in Melbourne, and so early in easter week we do some shopping, and fill a box, and mail it to the girls.
Every year its different but the same- always have new PJs each, and always chocolate, but it also gets "other" stuff.
This year a box of cookie mix for easter egg cookies, nail polishing transfers and ear rings, and assorted bling ! and some "One Direction" rubbish which they will LOVE!
Hidden at the bottom is a box of chockies for their mum!
When the box arrives there is a phone call and excited voices and unpacking, and trying on of clothes, and finding hidden surprises and tasting of chocolate!
This Easter is going to be a new experiance for us ,as the son and his new bride have decided to come away camping with us for a week. She has never been camping before,so fingers crossed/
Well Easter will be one of anticipation, number 3 son and his lovely wife await the birth of their first baby. A little girl. I spend Easter Sunday with number 1 son and his family, partner, and 2 grandies, 7 & 5. New Jammies and an Easter bunny chocolate. Number 2 son in Brisbane and I am sure him and his lovely partner will be probably at the beach somewhere, seems that is where they spend most of their spare time, either North or down on the Gold Coast. To everyone, have a wonderful safe Easter, enjoy. Lovely pic Billee and Jules.

My most recent best Easter was in 2011. I went camping at the beach with my two sons, daughter-in-law, grandaughter, brother, sister-in-law, and a cousin. And my grandson who came with his Uncle,,his parents were working.
This place is only accessible by 4WD, which I don't have, so my boys worked it all out that I drive to the entrance to this place, leave my car there and one of them would take me and my gear to the camp. My single son shared his tent with his nephew and Mum,,,he's 37 so it was a long time since we'd bunked in together.
We had a great time. The weather and water was perfect, 13 year old grandson learned how to play with his almost 2 year old girl cousin, and she followed him around like a puppy. We also had lots of fun ribbing my ever growing grandson for his appetite and his Uncle for having to cook for him.
When it came to the Sunday, dil had 'hidden' the eggs around the camp, and little Miss went around with her basket finding them and handing them out to everyone. Her Mum had told her there was one for each person, then the last one was hers. My brother was a little slow at coming, and she was very tempted to eat his. But she was good, handing them all out and having the last one herself. She'd already been given her own egg in a Cinderella mug before starting this ritual, so she certainly didn't miss out.
They're all away again and I'm not this year, but I get to see them tomorrow for a picnic. Well, that's the plan, rain is forecast so it may be a cafe. Never mind, it'll be great.
