RE: Pic's Of Members From When They Were Teens to say Thirties or similar...

I'm trying Vic! It's just not uploading. It comes up in the box okay, then I click submit post and nothing happens. I've even left it and come back to it 15 minutes later and it's still won't go. I've even tried to minimize the pic, to no avail.

That's the way it used to be Vic, but now when I click 'attach file' it immediately brings up my files for me to choose a picture. It doesn't come up with those 'browse' boxes anymore. Then I click on 'insert' and it's there in the white box along with my words. There is no 'upload file' button now. confuseNot on my screen anyway. Oh, and I use Internet Explorer and Windows 7.

As for resizing, I could never get a large photo to load so always had to resize. Now I can get a large photo or a resized one in the white box, but when I click 'submit post' it does nothing.

Hi Beth,

I'm not sure why you are having troubles, I don't have or use insert at all, I do have an "open" command though that takes it from my pictures to the line for downloading. I also use IE and have Windows 7, I don't use Firefox or anything like that.

Strange things are happening to my posts too, like when I reply a previous post comes up and I have to delete it first, and then when I submit nothing happens except the submit button wording goes grey. Then if I go back to the subject and click on "reply" again, the post I made shows up in the field with "A's" after some words and I have to delete them also some of the last words are not there so have to add them again.

Usually when I hit submit post again it works......hmmmm....gremlins in the system I think.

here's the pic Beth is unable to post, I think she is the tall one on the right biggrin

try this Beth, when you want to post a pic press F5 before you try to add your pic, it may work, or have you tried restarting your system?

Your pic is still very small

Well that worked Vic. How strange. I also lost some words though.

That was 1982 when we lived in Warrego NT, and I was 28.

These old photos aren't very clear I'm afraid.

Thanks Wombat. I've swept it this morning for any gremlins and restarted so let's see how I go this time.

And thanks Vic, I'll try that one too.Xmas 1982 001.jpg

Thanks Wombat. I did it with the family shot in Pacasa. Hence why eldest son's knees look a bit wonky.

aww

As I've remarked on here in the past, he and I have been divorced for more than 20 years, but we're friends. I don't regret marrying him, because we have 3 great kids, and two adorable grandchildren.

Thanks Vic. smile

Sorry all, I've kind of taken over the thread. I'll shut up now. wink biggrin

My kids found these PNG photo's of me in amongst my ex wife's possesions when she died recently, I didn't know she had them, had been divorced for 37 years, I wondered where they had got to.   I had my 18th and 19th birthdays in PNG.....

This was taken in 1966 at Kings Cross in the Chevron Hotel...think that's the name - it was at the top of Kings Cross just near the fountain. GaryKelly was probably a waiter then. I can sure remember the name of the chick with me in the pic - Joy who's been my amazing wife for the past 46 years. Joy was 19 and I weighed in at 22.  I sure got lucky there.IMG_3712.jpg

Nice photo Hako, and nice words about your lovely wife.

I have a photo somewhere that looks very similar over from the early 70's. I'm not at home so I can't scan and post.

Very nice pic Denis, I think my first wife and I had a photo taken in the same hotel just after we got married, I don't have the photo anymore though, history now.....
