I'm surprised it weighs 700kg. Must be packed with goodies inside.

If I'm being a bit dumb, forgive me, but how can a 1.3 lt vehicle tow 700kg?

It does look very cute.

If the van weighs 700kg ATM it would legally not need brakes....be just like towing a box trailer.
Remember back in the 50's when people used Ford Prefects (1100cc SV), Austin A40's (1200cc) etc to tow caravans.

Maybe its just that the vehicle has its front wheels on higher ground, but it looks to me like the little van is a tad too heavy on the towbar?

Ok ok i will refraise dellas words . 700 kgs gvm tares 430 kgs .
Its on a bit of a slope thats y it looks heavy on the drawbar ..
A1300cc or1.3 ltr that is built in 2000 produces more tourque and power than an old say 1960s eengine it realy. Pulls it realy easy it needs brakes thats really where it strugles pulling it up so im going electric so im not realying on enercia from the over rider to asist it .
Few other things to sort out and it will be perfect .

Great little set up ..

When I go out for a few days kayaking & red claw catching, I just put a mattress & a couple of doonas in the back of the Patrol.  Can sleep two in all sorts of weather but you'd need to be good friends.

I take my Gazebo that has walls for storing stuff & a stretcher for guests.

A silver tarp over the top of the Patrol & off one side as a lean to & all good.

But it would be a much better and easier set up with the little Goldstream camper.
