Can i ask how long does it take to do your washing in this machine, and what can you fit in it.

Hi Herbie it may be best if you quote your message as to whom you want to answer.

I have just lashed out and bought a companion twin tub washing machine from Rays outdoors $149.00 happy with that 12 months warranty, looked on EBay  $25.00  less not worth the hassle, and it works like a beauty.

herbIe, mine has a timer, so depending on how dirty your clothes are determines how long they need to be washed. I usually do one sIngle sheet and one pillow slip in oneload. Don't put too many articles in at once, you can usually tell if you have overloaded the machine. hope this is helpful.

Mine takes one double sheet at a time or a pair of towels and pillowcases, one set of work clothes,- I can do a weeks washing in about 45 mins. Most clothes only need 3-4 minutes on wash cycle

We had a Lemair top loader fitted in ensuite when we ordered 'van built to our specs.
Lighter & quieter than front loader.
Never really timed it, set & forget, go for a swim and unload when we return.
Just don't use cheap no name washing powder from Dodgey Bros.
You get what you pay for. We only use Omo bombs.
When you see the state of some machines in the mining towns & ports in the top of WA, you'll get your own.
As for unsubstantiated reports of leaky fittings, just like maintanence on the rest of your gear, check fittings regularly.
Wouldn't be without it!

Hi

We finally took the plunge after reading these posts .. let me say up front we have no connection with 'Ray's Outdoors' or 'Companion'

but that's what we bought there!

It fits marvelously in our shower cubicle, where I gave it it's first work-out this afternoon. It will be easily lifted in and out as necessary!

Importantly no new plumbing required. Shower head lifts off to fill the tub and it drains off as per showering water!

Although light weight it is quite solid and did a great wash quickly ... I am one "Happy Camper" LOL!!

Thanks to everyone who shared on this thread!DSCN8889.JPG

Hi, I have just bought a companion twin tub for $160.00 at the Caravan and Camping show, Adelaide.

The main reason being, at one place we stayed at a bloke came in and washed pads etc, used for cleaning floors, imagine the chemicals and anything else that could have been on those pads.

Another person we spoke to had dog hairs in their clothing.
