Re the story on the web site about Winnebago Australia having to change their name to Avida.
All these years whenever we saw a Winnebago we would think... "Another American import", we didnt consider purchasing one for that reason! I suppose everybody else knew they were Australian made?
SAw three new ones today in Melbourne. I assume they were doing a delivery as they were all unegistered and they were being driven by men on their own and they look like sales people not nomads.
The did have a sticker saying they were the Australian makers of Winnebago so they must have got a round that some way.
Most Winiebangos I have met had problems and many of the owners are not happy.
Regards Brian

Hard to say Cloak (and welcome to the forum), Australian Jayco are the only Jayco branch worldwide that are not owned or under the umbrella of the US Jayco. I think they must have some sort of agreement with Jayco in the US as they use a lot of the same model names, although if you google Jayco US you will see some differences in their models, shape and things like underfloor heating etc.
This gives some history of Jayco in the US and a bit on Jayco Australia.
