I was googling something to do with caravaning and they referred to the gray nomads forum until then I havent herd of it ,and by reading a lot on the forum I thought you all sound like nice people I thought I would sign up ,and here I am.
Me too... Googled something and discovered Duh. Hehe. Actually, I discovered Bill12 and his rig which is virtually the same as mine, so I took the opportunity to ask a lot of questions and got some great answers. Been here ever since.
I did as GD had done. Have only met one other GN at this stage as my travels have not started due to ill health. In saying that I have found a great lot of people on here that I feel I already know. Keep the lines open and the info coming. Thanks to everyone. Alan.
Years ago I saw a doco on TV and felt that was what I wanted to do. So I started web searching and found this wonderful, friendly, informative and helpful group of people. So now it is compulsory viewing daily and at home at night to catch up on the posts. Is that an admission of no life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway I love the interaction and feel like I know some of you quite well.

Wombat and I met on another forum where we showed photos. They closed the forum down, sad as it was a good one. So I googled forums to see what was around and found this one. Well, didn't take too long to persuade wombat he better come have a look as well.
Well Google has a lot to answer for then, haha just kidding, there are a lot of great folk on here - a few crazies like Wombat, Dazren, Michelle to name a few

I am renowned for not having the best memory around. However, when I retired one of the things presented to me was Cindy's and Jeremy's book the Grey Nomads Guidebook.
As that was about six years ago, I cannot be sure, but I believe it had information about this forum as one of the "resources" for we old folk. If not the forum, then at least the Grey Nomad website that hosts this wonderful forum. It took me a little while to get involved, but hey I finally joined up.
I found the other forums I occasionally view (rarely post to) through Google.
This forum is the most friendly, and a good mob with humour, chat, information, experience and experiences, and even some advice from time to time.
Cheers - John

How can you remember what you're renowned for, rockylizard?
It was so long ago, that I can't remember. There is also a Gray Nomads site, [or there was, haven't checked for some time.] But they're based in Tasmania.
My GP suggested to Google Grey Nomad during a very bad time two years ago and here I am. This forum has been and still is good to me. I might have ended up in a padded room without the forum.

I stumbled across the Grey Nomads website and I saw the Forum link on the side so I clicked on it, liked what I saw and signed up immediately. There are some bloody fine people here on this forum.
