Currently in Naracoorte and it is HOT! Some vague notions running thru my overheated brain trying to convince me to run the van off a pier, buy an MX5 and create my own breeze. Irrational in the extreme, must be the heat.
I agree. I free camp most of the time, but the heat over the past couple of weeks has finally got to me. 39 degrees here in Port Augusta today and 41 forcast for tomorrow. Its a caravan park for me for now so I can use my air conditioner until the weather cools down a bit.
Up here in QLD even though we are on the coast, one cannot live in a van or anything for that matter commfortably for the best part of 9 months, with out some kind of air con.If the heat dosn't get to you the humidity does. Most people around these parts live outside and just go inside to sleep.Wow this is a grt live.Would not change it for the world.

Ah to be so fortunate as to have aircon! My minimilist approach to traveling does have some serious drawbacks but far outweighed by the advantages - it is terrific to be out and about none-the-less. Enjoy your travels!
I was in arkaroola a few years ago for new years eve. Was 48 degrees plus. All you could do was go back and forth between the pool and pub. Too hot to even cook outside. They sure did get a lot of money out of me between the pub and restaurant.
Quite convinced that when I was asleep earlier in the year, someone cut the phone lines joining us to the mainland and has towed the island up north.

Well I am convinced they are pulling us north by the power cable that runs across Bas Strait. Good one Kev, never known Tassies weather to be so good so late in the season, especially the warm nights, it has been over 15 degrees and up to 20 plus for the last few weeks.
