If you are going to be around that area for awhile ,why not have a look around for a park that you will not have to keep moving out and in from.As it will be a pain if you move out for the 24hrs and then go to return and there is no room for you to return.

Yes maybe it is only in Vic, as i said it was the only place we had that happen to us.Up here in QLD where we are at the moment no one is game to take the van off the site you have for a bke away some where else for a few days even when not working,as this guy is on a winner here and he will not hold your site open ,as he has a list a mile long for the next person to take it. So if we go away we have to take the tent or motel it or what ever.We offered to pay for our site even though the van would not be there for 4 days but the answer was NO .This guy who owns this place spends nothing on it and i did a quick tally up the other day and he would be bringing in around $15.000 per week, that is with out the cabins and those park homes and we all pay our own power and now he is thinking of putting water meters in each site.So as i say they all are not doing bad, just have to pick the right c/v park to invest in .
We never get into those tenency agreaments ,as with our work we never know how long we are going to be in the area for.We just explain the situation before we even book in to c/ park , every c/ park owner is happy to go along with it, as yes it gives the tenent moor control on how the person should be treated. If we do find a park owner that is too big of a pain in the butt to get along with we just move out. That is what this life is all about freedon and choice.

We have currently been parked up at Pakenham for almost 60 days, as hubby is working out of Cranbourne truck driving, it is a nice park and very well run, our only complaint is that we have to move out for 24 hours after 60 days, That is a real pain in the butt as it means my husband must spend his two days off after being away for almost a week doing this, has anyone else had to do this as we were in a park in Mackay last year and didn't have to.
Only ever had to do that once and that was in victoria also. I heard it has some thing to do with Parks that only have regulations in place via the local council for travellers , so has not been zoned a park for permanent for status. When we had this happen to us , we just got moved to another site.Did not have to move out of the park. The parks who have permanet dwellers you will notice are in most cases all in one section.
This park has 55 permanents and about 8 tourist sites, like I said before , it is very well run but this is just a real pain as we will have to do it every 60 days whilst we are here, they are not allowed to just move us to another site as much as they would like to, we and the van have to physically leave for 24 hours.

He must only have permision from council to have so many permanets i am guessing.I know in one park in SA they only have permition from council for 12 permanet sites and you have to go on as list to even get a look in. We always ask before we book in if it will be a permanet site ,as i know what you are saying about the pain in the butt it is to move out for 24hrs.By moveing you out and back in shows he is abiding by the rules that are set out that he must adhere to to comply with council regs i would say.In that 24hr period you are off the books ..and then return you become a new customer.
Thanks Bronnie for your suggestion but we have decided to leave van and tug hitched up at storage facility and go for a bit of a road trip/ sight seeing getaway in my car, wouldn't mind if it was just the once but it is knowing that if we stay here we have to keep doing it so may move on earlier then we had intended, will see.
They are not giving our site away herbie they have already booked us back in, go figure, but will also look around but I think it is the same all over Victoria from what I can gather.
Apparently if you are on the same site for more then 60 days with the parks agreement you are then given residential rights which then brings up all your tenancy rights, which I could see as a bit of a minefield if you happen to have the wrong kind of tenant, but was just something I had not counted on when we picked out Pakenham to live in for now, but I suppose it would not have mattered where I picked.............rules are rules, but may I just say, BUGGER.
