When I was trying to back a dog trailer when I first started I used to get into some trouble,I used to start to panic, then I used to take a deep breath forget the world around you and consontrate on what I was trying to do ,you must forget what is around you,it's dam hard when you know there is eyes watching you, that's when you stuff up,try and forget who is about.except your partner she is trying to guide you in.
I saw one bloke turned up to his site with plenty of room to access, had a look all around & went for a lap of the park & returned from the opposite direction, Made a proper fool of himself for 45mins of stuff ups, when he thought he was nearly there he then realised he was on the wrong side of the slab, HAHA & then it was here we go again.
I would not embarres my self like that.

You must learn to use the mirrors. Recently seen a bloke looking over his left shoulder when backing a van, now just what was he going to see there, only the front of the van.
The other person I enjoy wathching is the "Lets open the door and look under my armpit" type.
They can also be found at boat ramps on week ends. Good for free entertainment!!!

I can't reverse a trailer either....I can't seem to get the hang of turn the steering wheel right and the trailer goes left and visa versa thing in my head.
Now on the other hand my husband drives road trains (3 trailers) and he can reverse all three trailers anywhere anyone likes...so he's exceptionally good at reversing the caravan and a trailer....he even did a course at the local community hospital to teach anyone to reverse a trailer, by the end of the day all of them could do it.....but he can't teach me to do it, so don't feel silly because you can't, your not the only one.
Our new caravan has a reversing camera....I am going to try and see if I can reverse it using that...
Oh just to say I can reverse the car into any tight spot anywhere, I have no problems with that at all

Grams try holding the steering wheel at the bottom that way you turn the wheel the way you want the trailer to go You want the trailer to go to the right then you turn the wheel to the right but you must be holding the wheel at the bottom.
