So true plus it keeps away the cold. nights in Tassie starting to cool off, actually lit a fire in the wood heater tonight, very nice but not as good as being round a camp fire and having a yarn and a cold one.

Gday...
I doesn't matter what the weather is - hot, cold, humid, dry, raining, foggy ... no matter. Campfires are for sitting around with mates, refreshments, good conversations, wit and humour, and of course - giving advice to those who are badly running our world
If ya see a campfire when ya on the road - drag a chair and a refreshment over and enjoy blissful ambience - it might just be mine
Cheers - John

Yep, nothing beats the atmosphere of a campfire... except maybe a big open log fire in an old pub. It takes us back to the days when we used to whack the missus over the head with a club and drag her back to the cave. It's in our genes.
