Golly Molly (Sue) - head on out to the lake - it is a great spot - take your fishing gear - the perch and carp like corn kernels - just load it up, and leave line in overnight - the fish seem to just jump on.
I like the sound of fishing. Perhaps you can give me some advice as I've never really fished fresh water. I assume I'll have to get a Fishing Licence or do you take the risk at Greens ? What bait to use except corn kernals ? What do you do with Carp, throw back ? Are there yabbies there ? If I throw in a couple of pots, will I catch anything ?

Big Gorilla. I am sure they said when I was at Greens, Age Pensioners don't need a licence in Vic. Also the first fish we ever caught there we ate and one was a carp. Haven't heard of any yabbies there.

Thanks HW. I seem to recall now you have reminded me, yes Victoria doesn't require you to have a Licence if you are under 18, over 70, Holder of Vic. Seniors Card; holder of Veterans Affairs Pensioner Repat. Health Card coded TPI; Concession Card relating to Age, disability or Carer. I just found my Victorian fishing book. Wow ! I thought I was getting Old Timer's Disease !!! What sort of bait do you use ?
Regarding Yabbies, I'll just throw a pot in overnight and see what's in it in the morning..

I didn't personally catch it. There was a large group of us nomads, the first time we met there. Not sure if it was Billeeeee or Michael. But they all swear by the corn kernel.
