G'day Talking to my brother last night who drives trucks Brisbane to Townsville, He said that there is a massive amount of road works going on, expect long delays and rough surfaces, he also said it was not much better out west. Travel is very very slow and work going on 24/7.
He reckons there will be delays for the next 2 months so i think it pays to check it out before you head north.
Road works at different places along the Highway from Gladstone to Gympie ,Some bridge work going on over the bridge heading into Rocky .Dont know about further up.
