Storing a Poptop

Hi. I am verrrry new to this life, so gently please.

I have a 18' poptop Viscount and wondering if there is a right or wrong way to store it? Roof / awning up or down??

Finally, what is the best way to prevent mildew / mould from forming on roof skirts / awning??

We have had Pop Top caravans for years and have always stored our van under a carport with the top up.

However I think the consensus is if under cover and you can  store with poptop up.

If stored in the open poptop down.

We have never got mildew on the vinyl however clean it spray and wipe.

We have a pop top and we clean it after we have finshed using it and keep it down
