Unfortunately but with good intentions, my kids bought Number 6 for Christmas.
Welcome to the forum, all is not lost, each edition comes with 4 years of free online updates (see Camps Australia Wide website, google or printed on your book), so you have two years of free online updates left on your Camps 6.
If you do your online update yours will be just as up to date as Camps 7, perhaps even more so. What I mean by that is due to the time that has lapsed between printing/publication and sales, some updates have already occurred, so even Camps 7 should be checked for updates when it finally reaches the consumer.
By the way, on the Camps Australia Wide website, where it shows other products, it also shows an online download to put Camps on your GPS (or phone applications). I paid $20 for the GPS app, well worth it. You still need the Camps book to see what locations you want to go to on your GPS or phone app, so they compliment each other.

You can either amend your edition (provided it is no older than 4 years after publication) online as you look at the amendments, or print them off to do at your liesure.
If anyone is in the Noosa area, drop into the Camps office in Noosaville, to purchase any of their books....they offer a $15 discount... Just got mine and spent the afternoon, browsing and planning our next getaway....Cheers Lyn..
I bought mine today at BCF in Bundy. Just went for the book version rather than the spiral as I am losing pages out of Version 5 as they rip out of the spiral. Got the cheapy $54.95.
The version of the Camps book I have is no 3, so I'm definitely overdue for an upgrade.
I'm seriously considering getting the Camps 7 with CampSnaps however I was just wondering if anyone on here had used a Camps book with the CampSnaps, and if it was worth the extra expense.
Cheers,
Tom

I had a thought but it got run over as it crossed my mind.
I've just got the book version too (Camps 5) still holding up and had been updated to Camps 6 level so will hang onto it for the time being.
Glad I put the GPS add on ($20) on my Garmin though, made it a lot easier to find the free overnight camps and not to drive past etc on my recent trip which I had done before.
Some will say yes - and we would with a proviso that sometimes the 'snaps' are wrong. Where we lived had a snap of the wrong location in the town. So, of course, the photo really didn't help the choice of location. I wrote to the editor but can't remember if I sent a photo of the correct location.
I have today updated my Australia Wide Camp Snaps book 5 to book 7. It looks great and has a few changes. I prefer to have the photos of camp sites because I like to see what they look like. I haven't come across any mistakes.
I bought the basic Camps 7 today. Mainly for the price, only $54.95. Didn't think the pics would be of any advantage, I could be wrong. But I do have another book with pics if I need to check it out. Anybody nearby want a Camps 5, free.
Although Camps 7 does included some low cost caravan parks, another of the Camps Australia Wide publications, Caravan Parks Australia Wide is also a good publication for those wanting to use caravan parks as well. See;
Unlike the publications put out by road organisations (eg; RAC/NRMA) who only list those who pay to be included in their books, Caravan Parks Australia Wide list every caravan park in Australia.
I notice that the RAC in some states (perhaps all) also sell the Camps books (Camps 7 and the Caravan Parks Australia wide) in their stores at discounted prices for members as well as their own publications.
Thanks guys...........money is extremely tight so the basic Camps 7 looks like being it.
Cheers, Tom
You won't regret it Tom, most valuable book you can carry with you.....also as I said before, no need to buy a separate road map book it's all included...
