I just wonder how much more bark the trees can loose. lol. The bank at the back is this summers effort. Its the first time in many years I have been worried they might fall over. Lightening split a tree in neighbours yard and another one lost their pergola. Pales in comparison to Queensland but for us it is quite unusual.
Read there was a fire near Shep yesterday. Be careful.

Mel

Yeh, I signed up for CFA warnings a while back and they go by your mobile signal. I got a text as I was watching the thick smoke in the distance saying to be aware and ready myself if need be but all was OK so we are all still here at the Lake, HOT but the fire was heading away. It was interesting though as in the txt it said 10 units and 1 fixed wing water bomber.
Due to the heat the lake gets a good workout during the day and again before lights out.

They'll lose all that bark again next year msg. I used to wish the gum trees on our Canberra block would blow down/be hit by lightning... anything... just to be rid of them! as theres such a big fine if you cut them down. All the leaf litter, bark and sticks to constantly tidy up while the house was for sale, so the Real Estate Agent described it as "self-mulching"!
