She will buy me Flowers,? and She will buy me a nice card,? and then She will probaly Drag me out to some Nice Restaruant,? make me eat nice food and drink nice wine, And then She will tell me again ? that when she married me,'' She deserved the best - and she got it'' ?? I only wish that when she tells me ''she got the Best'' she would not add - ''available at the time ?''

So during one of these comments one day I turned & said, thats right pete you will never catch us but look at it this way, It wont be long untill you are standing where I'm now standing.
The laughter drained from his face followed by ; OH S#!t. Made my day.

Know what you mean JC,, when my young fella and his mates, were about 16-17, they got into a bit of ''young fella'' mischief "" nothing serious, But enough for me and one of the other fathers, to pull them into line, and to explain, ''who did what'' ???? Well the load of Crap they all came out with, trying to justify their actions, was a load of crap,and we told them so ??? to which the reply was // You were not there, , We were '' so how do know it did not happen the way we Said ??
To which i replied, BECAUSE ?? I am older and Wiser, than you guys, and when you get to my age, you will know when young bucks are feeding you Bull**** ? I know this because Life is one very long learning lesson, and with me being older ?? I have been to a Lot more ''Classes'' than you ?? You know that was over 25 years ago, The son still has some of those mates, and they often remind me Of that speech I gave, when the tried to pull the wool over my eyes
The 13th of January would have been my 40th wedding anniversary...if we'd stayed together. It was my choice to leave him, and I don't regret it, but I did feel a little sad on the day. Anyway, we a had 3 great kids together, and he and I and his partner are all good friends.
congratulations to you both dazren ,hope you had a very memorable day goodness me i dont think i will be around to be married to mr glassies for that amount of years ,its been 8 years this year for us ,so we got a fair way to go till the amount you are up to and i would be almost 100 years old.
