Price reduction

Tumby Bay's RV site has reduced the price off overnite says from $10 to $7.50  per nite ,it has a dump point ,water and the toilets are just metres away in the show ground.

The locals have taken it over because they reckon the council charges were to costly ,well done to the locals

Very well done, more locals need to voice their opinions to Councils in regards to what the councils do to restrict visitors.

The locals are smart enough to realise they will make a lot more money out of being cheap and friendly,

Cheap and friendly is what attracts people there and to spend money in their towns,

Good on them,

While on our walk this morning we came across a couple of large rigs (vans and 4x4s) free camping in a nice spot, stopped to chat, they were all from WA, one man was very adamant about not stopping in Narooma as the caravan park he stopped at there wanted $60 per night per couple for a powered site (Australia Day weekend).  He said he told them it was the dearest place they had encountered since leaving WA and they all moved on to the next town instead of checking in. Somebody gained and somebody lost!  Maybe its best to stay home until all the holidays are over.
