What's wrong with thumbnail? click on it and it becomes large - same difference - also sometimes large photos are TOO large, and the text in messages runs out the side of the page - very frustrating having to scroll across to read a post.
But I believe you use the "insert picture" icon at the top of the "advanced topics" page. There is also a guide at the bottom of that page under "submit post" - hope this helps.

How do I post a large photo in the topic instead of the thumbnail ?
Best to resize the photo before you post it, a 600x400 is a good size. Then open new topic/ or reply which ever you are doing.
Go to bottom of reply window there is a attach image, click and that opens you pictures, select the resized by one click, at bottom of photo page click on open & this will upload the pic to you reply window, them click insert. job done.

Even though you posted a larger photo, all someone has to do to view your image is to click on the small image that says 'attachment' and it will come up to the same size as the extra one you posted. So do what justcruisin01 says and we can still see your picture when we click on 'view image'.
Yeah, I understand that, but being a lazy type at times, say no more !!!!! Because I have the thumbnail and large picture, I think I clicked on Upload Image which gives the thumbnail, then on Insert which gives the larger picture. I guess I should be embarrassed because I'm very computer literate, having used them for around 17 years. But as usual, it's the little things that trick us. I'll have one more try which will show you part of the inside of my Van...
No I don't think that worked. The thumbnail is still there. No problem. That's my brain exercise for today !!
Hi Big Gorilla. I think what has you confused at the moment, is something that has been happening for a little while now. No-one else has mentioned it, but I've been wondering too, why we have a double-up of Pics. now. Just haven't asked Cindy about it yet. I'll PM her as soon as I've finished this post.
Pics. used to be posted either normal, or thumbnail size, not both together.

When I post a pic this way I get the same results, a large photo plus a thumbnail .
Used to only get the resized photo, then the small one started appearing as well.
