Hi Beth .I'm like you and always look at bios. Am still at home, not travelled as such .Have ordered a motor home unfortunately wife had foot surgery one week before xmas. Has put pay to all our plans to get out there .Will be on crutches for several months and we need to stay close to home during this period. Not a happy camper. In answering your post both my wife and I although not meeting you face to face, feel we already know you ,Wombat ,Dougwe and all the other nomads we read on the forum.I'd like to think that when we do start the big lap that we can get together and continue on this friendship.I hope this gives you a bit more on Alan the Mongrel and Mrs Mongrel [Adele]....

Hi - good to see you enjoying "meeting" some of our members - when you meet in person, it actually feels like you already know each other - it is great!!!

And - are you going to put something on your biography - in your profile page?  You know the usual - handsome, debonair, playboy type, married to Barbie/Elle -biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Nice to meet you Alan and Adele. I don't know that I can come at calling you mongrel,,confusemaybe after we've met in person. biggrin

Wombat, I've been home since early December. We did almost 6,000kms in 9 weeks. A bit too much for me I'm afraid. I got crook towards the end and have been on heavy duty meds since my return. I lernt a lesson though, stick to MY plan, and do it in MY own time. Well, I actually learnt several lessons along the way.

1/ Make sure all legs are wound up before driving off.

2/ Make sure to pick up the step before driving off.

3/ Make sure to pick up levellers before driving off.

Most importantly, read the blo.ody checklist properly before driving off! disbelief

2/ Make sure to pick up the step before driving off.      Do you mean your legs?

3/ Make sure to pick up levellers before driving off.      I don't have any of those levellers, would they help me if I was drunk?

Most importantly, read the blo.ody checklist properly before driving off! disbelief     The more we do it the better we get at it, I do mean caravaning/Camping etc biggrinbiggrin

I did not realise you were already home, sorry to hear you were crook at the end, I keep saying to Mrs W we will do this or we will do that and she says no we won't and we don't biggrinbiggrin

stick with the meds and hope you get better real soon.

Vic, I didn't realise you'd had so many RV's! No wonder you are all knowing! biggrin

Don't listen to Wombat Beth, yes I've had a few much to SWMBO's disgust, one I wished I had kept was my Jayco Feather but no good having regrets.  The Coromal I got after that had it's good points too but just not the same....

As for being all knowing (shut up Wombat), nup, a lot I don't know and learn something new every day, mostly on here, lot of experienced people in areas I know nothing about and the older I get the more I realise just how little I know! cry

PS:  I have just added a couple I forgot about......Wombat boring.....yes, boring holes all over the place wink biggrin
