Greyhounds in NSW

Does any know what the regulations are for Greyhounds from the Greyhound Adoption Program in NSW?  We have one and are planning to do our first shake down run with the caravan and plan to take Coco with us from Vic to NSW.  And, yes we do live near an airport, we go to Bonnie Doon, the serenity of it all and I can tell you your dreaming cause it has already gone to pool room.  That should be all the things covered from the Castle, oops forgot the high tension lines!

Seriously, this is going to be our first foray on the road and with Coco it should be great, I just don't want to Get Into Trouble With The Man!

This is the first post that took ages to show up, so now I have two posts asking the same question.  Sorry all, but with the way the net is working tonight I just think some cans and string would work faster!

Thats great, Coco already has her green collar and we should be right.

And Gerty, I am sure Coco would love to meet you, she loves to meet anyone who will show her any sign of affection.  She has only ever shied away from one person and he is not an animal person and did stir her up on their first meeting.

My daughter has a pet greyhound and the only restriction placed on the dog is to make sure it is muzzled whilst in a public place.I advised her to put it's front left paw into the dogs collar.Slows 'em down a bit.Just jesting.smile

Boothie, have a look at the NSW GAP web-site  http://www.gapnsw.org.au/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,48/

I think I saw something about recent changes to the rule that if you have had your dog trained and certified you dont need the muzzle, similar to Vic.

Would love to meet your long-legged friend!

Rosey having read the above article I have to say that it is a great step forward not only for greyhounds and their humans but possibly other breeds that have the finger pointed at them.I especially like the bit that you train your own dog and then an accredited person tests the result to see if the dog has earned his/her green collar.
