I've never bothered with putting jacks underneath, did wind the stablizer legs down though, while you can't use them to jack the vehicle up, I figured that they would help keep the full weight of the van off the tyres even if minimally, before going on another trip or if they looked a little flat, I would check mine from time to time and if they needed air inflate them again. Usually when I stored the van I would put a bit more air than usual in the tyres and then re-check them before a trip to get the right inflation etc.
With the battery, I kept mine connected but gave it a recharge for a couple of days now and then, also ran the fridge for a couple of days also before de-frosting again (with door open).
Hans, regards A'van campers, some say if storing in the open, it is better to have them erected for better ventilation and heat build up, I always opened my roof vents a fraction whether I had the roof up or down when storing, the raised base of the vent prevented any water from getting in and I never put them up high enough for any driving rain to get in.....

Hi All :) I have to store my van for a couple of months!!! It usually does not stay stationary for that long always on the move some where. My question is is it necessary to jack up tyres to keep weight off them to stop flat spots.
We havent done that Al, and have stored the van for up to 5 months at a time, with nice round tyres. Be sure to disconnect the battery, and have the fridge door open a little to prevent any mouldiness.
Ours has a switch, which isolates it, otherwise theres a tiny light in the fridge and maybe other things which would continue to drain the battery over time. You can charge it whilst isolated, we do it about monthly, but sometimes circumstances just dont allow us to. "disconnect" is probably not the correct word, sorry for confusion.
Our van is used regularly however if I were to store the van for a long period of time I would take the weight off the tyres.
A couple of wood blocks cut to an appropriate length under the axles would do the job nicely and under the tow ball to take the weight off the jockey wheel as they do get a flat spot relatively easy.
As for the van battery, if you have a charger attached and it is a charge and maintain leave it connected if not then disconnect the battery and periodically recharge it.
Plus if the battery is an AGM type then it will be good for 3 months disconnected.
Just my thoughts.

Duh ,just checked the A Van , (it is on jacks in the garage ) and now after a few days over 45deg. the door started jamming. I took the jacks away ,see what will happen. The roof is allways a bit open.
