Hi from Colleen and Michael - new members from Canberra (but not for much longer).

Were in the process of selling our home and plan to travel around Australia for 18 24 months in our 4x4 and camper trailer whilst were still young and fit enough to enjoy it.  The first adventure will be to the Kimberley region this coming winter, and then well head south, probably to Tassie, to avoid the heat and the wet season.  Then in 2014, after the wet, off to Cape York and all places in between.

Whilst on the road well be looking for potential places to call home were not quite sure where well end up settling down (if we ever do).

All that remains now is to pick up our brand new camper trailer from Complete Campsite.  It should be ready end of next month; and hopefully coincide with the sale of our home.  Here is the website if you want to have a look http://www.completecampsite.com.au/soft-floor-uluru.html - we are getting the Uluru model; itll fit nicely behind the Prado.

Cheers from warwick (Colleen and Michael)

Hi colleen and Michael,
Have just sold the house! Money will be in bank this week! Yay! Now have to declutter! *groan*!!!!
We are still looking at caravans to find the perfect one for us!!
Must say, you are very brave to want to do this in a tent campervan!
The thought of collapsing and rebuilding my house every day or so would make me shudder!
Good on you tho!! Might see you out there some time soon!

Welcome Colleen & Michael    smile

We started off in Canberra too.   Just before retirement, we sold our home and took to the road.  It is a great country, especially when you have time to enjoy it.

Our fellow nomads (and others) are usually very friendly and helpful and there is so much to see, do and learn when travelling.

Make the most of your trip and keep us all informed as to your whereabouts and experiences.    biggrin biggrin

Wow! What a fantastic welcome - thank you all.
Buyers are coming round tomorrow for a last look at the house before signing on the dotted line - fingers crossed.
Cheers
