Thanks Gladstone Police Qld

Well it seems that up North the Police jsy do not know how to do their Jobs Properly......A few Months Ago I got pinged $44 for parking at a bikie area...In which I paid the same day to the Traffic infringement officers Gladstone.....Then I get another fine because the serving officer wrote the wrong amount on the fine  $ 40   It was adjusted to $44 on the spot Having received notification that all was Okay I am free to go about my life....Low and Behold Now   I have just received a $ 100 fine for not paying  the original fine  With threats of Arrest Loss of Licence And Many other threats....I gotta say those people running the State up there are stupid dills.....I have Infringement numbers and all the proof I need   So I would love to Sue by contesting the lot  there is no way I can Lose...How say you all?

Ps Some of you may remember the trouble I went through in October

IMHO local councils are all about revenue gathering at every opportunity & are grossly inefficient to boot.

I think that judging by NSW parking fines, $40 or $44 is cheap.  I recently got pinged $99 in NSW.

Good luck

edit...

ps.  By contesting you will almost certainly loose..  Give them a ring.

pps. Fancy saying that Premier "Can Do" Campbell is a retard!  He is after all an ex RAA juniour subaltern & engineer to boot.  Emphasis on the 'to boot'.

To be fair, that is not the police person's fault. They are handed documents and can only do what they are instructed. The problem lies in the administrative actions of the local council.

Sorry to see its not sorted yet Jimbo. I thought you got it fixed with your contact to the council up there. Sounds like they don't believe you even though you have all the documentation.

He has already rung them and tried to sort it out Cupie. In fact he and his wife and rung them several times. He has already paid the fine but because it was the wrong amount he has now been fined, even though they said they would refund him the original amount he paid and send him a new account. From memory I think I have that right.
What the heck is he supposed to do now? Pay a fine as well for something he paid almost instantly.

The biggest problem is if you contest it, it Will cost you far more than the original fine, and the police(or govt)nornally don,t have to pay the costs. So, even if you are dead right, it will still cost you more.Great justice system, eh. Bill

Thanks for that Marj......My niece is a Policewomen in Melbourne and told me that there are  people that rely on Computers way to much

As for not winning against them...How could that be possible....I have the proof  A Judge would have to be crazy to rule against me....

Then again!  maybe not

For those that are interested  The latest on my September $44.00 fine   It was the principal of the matter Cupie  After over an Hour on the Mobile Phone and Heaps of Money since September  I Have been assured that the Matter is Fixed  (Sper) was involved this time......I asked for an Apology and Expenses for pain and suffering of a Few Thousand   They will get back to me.....This time also we have names and receipt numbers for future references   Though I do not believe that this is the  end of it....They are still Morons to my way of thinking   Their left hand does not have a clue what the right is doing
