Hello all, just a quick g'day.

My wife and I will soon be hitting the road and going all places for quite a while and hope to chat and meet with as many folk as we can.

We are members of the Jayco Owners Club in South Brisbane and wev'e been having a ball.

Our van is a 21ft Jayco Heritage 2004 and we call her Dolly. That was the name we gave our first boat and then the name transfered to our second boat so now that we are boatless we

had no choice but to call the van the same  ( Dolly 3 )

Hope you are all well and having fun out there ....see you soon.

Cheers - Len and Barb

G'day to all as well, my wife and I have also just joined.

We currently own an offroad camper trailer and eventually will upgrade to something luxurious, in the meantime we enjoy getting to the more remote and quieter spots as often as we can.

While SWMBO has been lucky enough to retire recently my turn will come later on this year. We then plan to do the Nomad thing for most of each year and look forward to meeting others on the road and sharing experiences and knowledge.

Stay safe and be happy, Cheers Di and Dave

 Welcome  Len & Barb ...

We have an old Jayco .. a 21'6" Westport that we had built in 1999.

Have looked at the local SEQ Jayco club but never taken the plunge & joined.

I don't like  .. with a passion,  those clubs that seem to be all about formal meetings, inadequate office bearers who pump them selves up with self importance & run rubbish  meetings just for the sake of getting their name in the minutes.  I suppose that I am a bit cruel in that comment.  But that is what I feel.

What is your club like & where do you usually go?  My Neighbour is a club member & really enjoys his regular club trips.  Maybe my preduice is causing us to miss out on another caravanning facet.

Hi Cupie,
yes, understand where your'e coming from.
I guess there is a bit of that in any club but we have found that SEQ Jayco give you the option to do what you want on any of the outings or trips.
Meetings are held on the Saturday and business is usually kept to a minimum with most of the time taken up with discussion of upcoming trips.
Barb and I joined for the friendship and to learn as much as possible from the more experienced Vaners and to date have picked up loads of great tips and tricks.
Love your sign off about digging...very good!!

Cheers - Len

if you think you know whats going on.....
...then you obviously don't understand the situation....
