Have advised Cindy re Website.  How do you mean "through the grey nomads activeboard" ?

I've had The Grey Nomads Forum in a Folder on my Favourites list for years.  I just have to click on it.

I have found that the main page is down and can only get on through the grey nomads activeboard , Has anybody had the same problem

 I'am having the same problem the only way i'am getting on is through the forum. Even when i click on the web page there it does not come up.

There is a website that take you into the forum , I Google The grey nomads and up came a link to the grey nomad activeboard forum which I clicked on and got to the forum site but could not get in by the front door

I have the forum in favourites too, the address comes up activeboard Sheba.
Cindy is on holidays at the moment and may not be checking in.

I have only been able to access the forum directly today too... by googling, same as you Sheba. Also the ads at the top of the forum appear as squares with a little red x in them.

I have the tab open at the top of my browser along with 10 to 20 other tabs all the time. I 've set the browser to automatically re-open those tabs when I boot the computer so don't have to go looking for favourites.

We too had problems logging in to the GN and eventually got through by going via the activeboard - http://thegreynomads.activeboard.com/.  smilesmile

We really enjoy reading the 'Forum' area and getting further ideas etc.

Thanks, Brickies. Yes, of course, we hope you all take the time to check out our website as well as the forum. Stories are upodated pretty much daily. The good news is that the website is now back up and running (apologies but it was something that was out of or hands). We have just posted a new story on our site about plans to give van parks in WA a major overhaul as authorities there fear grey nomads are 'dodging' the state. Check it out at http://thegreynomads.com.au/  (aka the front door).

Geee, silly me has been turning my modem on and off all day and restarting the laptop all day as well thinking it was at my end.

I thought I had gone of the rails for sure and the men in the white coats would be here soon, maybe they still will arrive. frustrated.gif

I ended up going in through my iPhone until I realised I could go in by typing in the activeboard into the search bar on the laptop.

I've just checked back in and what a relief that everybody else was suffering the same outage, I too found that it could be accessed via other means but not seeing any other postings started to think my computer had a new years glitch. Great to see it back on line, you just don't realise how much you use it, great site, great people, great country, WELL DONE ALL.
