Have a 57L Combi which was only used for 6 months on extended trip around the block in 2007. Was mounted in back of HiAce and not treated harshly at all. Been in storage (spare bedroom) for past 4 years and now will not cool at all It has the LED readout and I am in the process of replacing the battery for that (apparently it only lasts 2 years). It turns on and runs but does not appear to cool / freeze at all and just keeps running. Excuse my ignorance but is there a simple reset button somewhere or does it sound terminal Have access to a top auto electrician but not sure if we have to find an Engel dealer to diagnose and hopefully fix the problem. I think if it has been sitting for 4 years not going the compressor seals dry out. On our boat i always ran the engine & compressor every couple of weeks as this stopped the problem. I have just bought a Primus 65l Mammoth for the Prado and camping, and am using it as a backup fridge freezer in my annexe ( I'm parked up for the next 12 months or so, helping out on friends vienyard). I was told I'm better running it full time rather than leave it sitting doing nowt.
