I think you are right .... the majority of GNs that were Green's residents have moved on at the moment to savour other extraordinary parts of this wide, brown, wet, windy, cold, hot land.
Despite that, I very much doubt you will be 'alone' should you go to Green's Lake for the 'festive season'. From my understanding the place is very popular with the locals and there will be plenty of campers there for you to talk to.
It would also be fair to assume, the lake would be abuzz with jetskis/skiboats from Xmas Day through the late in January - weather allowing of course
Cheers - and a Happy Xmas and an enjoyable, fulfilling new year - John

News from Greens has dropped off the Forum of late.
Have our adventurous travellers gone into hibernation or is it that the Grey Nomads are home wrapping goodies for Christmas.
I have been toying with the idea of hitching up and staying at Greens for the festive season, but the thought of being there alone, talking to myself, and getting that possible answer has me somewhat concerned.
I think all the GN have moved on for a variety of reasons Ole-Grizzly. I'm down in Geelong visiting family but will be back there around Boxing day till after New Years Day. I am sure Jimbo was heading up there today for a few days. Some have left for further afield places and others have left temporarily with health issues and will be back as soon as they can.
There will always be someone there, if not all are GNs
You are leaving it a bit late Big Gorilla. Will be getting a bit cold and most GNs will have headed off up north.
I like travelling in the Fall, it goes get a bit cool. I have aircon but of course there is no power at Greens. I'm thinking of having a diesel heater fitted this time around.

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
I have just driven through Greens Lake for a check on my way back to Echuca from Geelong. Popeye where are you parked. I drove slowly down towards the channel and back checking my Thong tree twice. Then right down the other way to the point slowly waving to anyone looking as I passed by. I saw (Ziggy) Esperian's tent just to the right of the boat ramp, looked to be all locked up and no vehicle so he must have gone for a drive. There weren't too many there for a Friday night but I suppose everyones busy organising Christmas. Couldn't see anyone else who might have been GNs.
Was great to meet Marj & Ziggie at Greans.Sorry I could not stay longer. Had a phone call & had to leave quickly this morning. We will have longer in the future.

Now's a bit crowdy here, but so far no new Gray Nomads. Although, Kiwies seem to be on their way here. So on the New Year can be few more of us here. Ken & Lyn Thomas dropped in for a chat from Echuca, too. It was a pleasure to meet them in person, and have a nice chat with them.
