I see some of the owners have talked about fences to keep the dogs enclosed in when you have set up camp ? I think this is a great idea any ideas on where to buy them do they have different heights?
Bugger, this is my third try. I'll get it right this time, having a grey day.
Hi Jenny. They come in 3 heights from the pet shop from around $90 and up, could be a bit expensive for some. As the size gets bigger, so does the weight of the fence and of course the price.
Another way, if you have a small dog like me, would be to buy plastic climber lattice from Bunnings and make your own. Being an after thought, I could have saved myself lots of money.
My Ruby won't jump over the fence, for her, its more for security and having her domain away from other dogs.
Thanks very much Helen I have a little foxy I think she would be happier to be in an enclosure rather than have the lead on all the time while outside the van.
Four sides which fit together at the corners. It has a gate built into one side.
Got it online from deals direct.
More than just keeping our dogs enclosed outside the van, we wanted something more substantial than the bunnings mesh as I wanted them safe from those dogs allowed to wander around off-leash.

I have just bought one online and am waiting for it to be delivered as we have a new puppy. When we travel we want her to be safe. It's made of canvas and mesh, has two doors, has a waterproof floor and has a mesh roof. It weighs 4 kg. Although we have an Australian Silky Terrier I got the XL version so that she had plenty of room. Type in soft portable pet play pens and a myriad of sites will appear.
The pet play pen arrived today, much, much bigger than I imagined, but that's fine as it will give our girl lots of room. She's and Australian Silky Terrier. I have it set up inside to encourage her in and out. She's been playing in it today. It weighs 4kg according to the detail and has a canvass zip-on floor and a screen zip-on roof.
