Our nice little rig and Camper

Hi to all,

Well I am a newbie to here and have only just become a member.  So far I have found both the website and forum great and a wealth of knowledge and information.  LOVE IT.

Now my rig is a 1998 SsangYong Musso il6 3200 4WD Auto.  She has done just over 222,100klms and still is like new inside.  Has leather interior and full electrics.  Yes she is old but goes great and has never let me down.  You could say bullet proof but now that I have that I think murphies law might come into play here :).  She did tow the camper trailer to Tumbarumba. NSW last Easter from Melbourne and never faulted once.

My Camper Trailer is a Adventurer Up North Heavy Duty off road and is only 12 months old.  Yes she is big but has plenty of room with slide out s/s kitchen and pantry, King size bed, full 12volt power, LED lighting system throughout, 12volt water pump, 80 litre water tank, 10" electric brakes and quite a few other things as well.  As soon as I can I will be installing a 240volt system and along with solar power system.  She is a heavy trailer fully loaded but towing her is a dream as she just sit's behind the Musso and a lot of the time you do forget the trailer is there.

Hope you all like my toys.

Welcome to the forum. How long does it take to set up your trailer? Looks good.

Hi neilnruth,

Thanks for the compliments on our camper trailer. To set it up fully takes around 1/2 an hour to 1 hour and that is with the full length and width fly which is silver so as to reflect the heat etc. To set it up with just a normal setup like in the photo's takes between 20 to 30 minutes without the auning walls which I might add are all attached by velcro and zippers. All in all it is a 2 person setup and pack away. I would have liked an easyer one to setup and pack away but all of them did not suit what we required for a family camper trailer. I liked the hard floor units but they are just so small and no good for family use. When it is time to update, I feel I will be looking at a nice sized off road family caravan. :)
