Green's Lake - Elmore VIC

Gday...

Camps6 - Site 475 VIC. Greens's Lake has become the mecca for Grey Nomad Forumites.

Green's Lake is 26km east of Elmore and 54km west of Shepparton. The turnoff to the Lake is signposted.
Toilets were in good condition when I was there - due to the diligence and care of GNs from this forum.
There is plenty of room for big rigs and large motorhomes. Fires for cooking are allowed, properly contained. There is no potable water.

There are no signs regarding dogs, but a number of campers (and visiting locals) have dogs on leads.

Some photos for your interest.

Cheers - John

Thanks for the photos Rocky. I think we need to 'develop' a Grey Nomads mecca in each state! Gympie seems to nbe the Qld one, Greens Lake in Vic. Where else could we make NSW / SA / WA / Tas meeting places?

The motorbikes put us off, I'm afraid.

The motor boats didn't worry me so much, as they mostly went out and further away. Also we would rather have been further along, but one direction looked like it'd be a little boggy if it rained and the other direction was where the motorbikes were.

When I called in there was motor bikes on trailer and ski boats operating in front of the vans and jet skis every where and vans and tents every where and no where flat to park that I could see. The only place to park would have been on the road.

I had to continue on as I had to either get to Aysons Reserve or on to Maldon which would have had me travelling way past my prefered time frame.

Luckly Aysons reserve was reasonably empty and spent a week there and then headed off to Maldon for my train hit.

Will be here till early next year and then heading west to SA.

Regards
Brian
