Blonde Wombat.

Did any-one else see the Blonde Wombat on Totally Wild this afternoon ?   Very cute, but the baby that belonged to the other one was even cuter.   Georgeous little thing about a foot long.

Cheers,

Sheba.

The mother and baby were Dark Grey.   Blondie was Golden blonde.

Didn't have the camera handy unfortunately.

Cheers,

Sheba.

correct we only come out at night, unless we are in a zoo, here's a pic I took of my cousin at Wilsons Prom a couple of years ago.

If you do go to the prom go to the cinama area (just outside) at about 2000-2100 and you may see my cousin looking for his nightly food.

Common wombats can range from quite blonde to almost black, but your Southern wombat generally stays a grey brown colour."

From Australia Zoo.

Cheers,

Sheba.

I don't believe I've ever seen a road sign in Qld for wombats. Roos and koalas, casawarys in NQ, but not wombats.
