Actually I wish I had one, when I first got my license and was working as an on the road Tech, install PA system, hospital on call and other sound system's..

I memorable night Driving home along Beach Rd near Sandringham when an Older Drive Pulled out of a Carpark, and then proceeded to drive off.. Gave no Detail's and left me trying to explain What happened.. I think with a Dash Cam I would of Been cleared of all the Blame and the driver might of been caught..
That one accident Nearly cost me my Job as the company supplied the car and I did not have a car at that time..

Resurgence of an older topic - but relevant and interesting. We purchased and use a forward facing dash camera, after seeing Just Cruising's - and the number of near misses we have recorded is astonishing! Luckily none became an accident, but several of them could easily have done so.

We are in a motorhome, 4Tonne - so it doesn't stop on a penny, just like a small truck won't - but people just pull out in front of us, we were in a roundabout in Tassy, and a guy came out of a road on our left hand side (single lane) - he was that close I could see the hairs in his ears!!! Recorded a truck almost lose a load of old cars, badly tethered to the tray of the truck with rope (yes - ROPE) - one of the cars doors came open, the whole load shifted - line of traffic behind the truck - narrow road, he got off, but his back end was skewing all over the place - very scary!

My son, who is in the transport industry, says he would not drive without one - there is talk of insurance rebates if you have one fitted - bring it on!
