Hi all, have just arrived back from a lovely time in Hervey Bay Qld.

Camped next to a couple who are travelling around Oz

(in a big bus) for the next 12 months (sigh of envy)

They were told that in Hervey Bay there was one Caravan Park with a Dump Point,

that being the Harbour View (where we were staying).

However to empty their black tank they had to take the bus back into Maryborough.

Their feeling was if they have to do this they will just keep going.

 Surely there must be somwhere in Hervey Bay where one can empty a black tank ???? ashamedashamedashamed

Few Dump points around Hervey Bay.

 One at Maryborough showgrounds on the Bruce Highway just North of Maryborough and also one at Maryborough Airport on the Booral Road..The next ones are at Burrum Heads.Hillcrest Holiday Village only if you are staying.Then there  is Childers which is the next one Northbound and Tiaro Southbound.

This for an area that wants to attract the tourists it's pretty poor.

You could ask a coach driver where they empty their "honey" tanks from the coaches. Quite often this was at the local treatment works but may be worth asking anyway.
