Do you believe its day 42 already, well it is and Im still not sick of it, in fact Im starting to get used to this life style, mmmm, no, I am used to this life style.
As I mentioned in update #5 I have now left the NSW South Coast and I am now at Greens Lake for a while to have a go at Free Camping.
I have also left Yass after one night so I headed to Albury on the next leg of my journey and around 11.00am I decided to go to Howlong just on the NSW side of the Murray River and about 30 mins west of Albury. I stayed in a lovely CV Park there and surprise surprise (I have heard that somewhere) it was called Howlong Caravan Park with toilet and shower block being more like ensuites and I really liked it there. As it turned out Briche and Kiwi-as stayed there as well but on different nights so we were playing follow the leader there for a while.
I here you asking Howlong did I stay at Howlong? Well, not toolong at all really, one night, (sorry Brian) I couldnt help myself with that one; I didnt want you to wait toolong for me to say it. Oh not again.
I arrived at the famous Greens Lake around 12.30pm and decided within the hour that I was not leaving next Monday, I now dont have a plan to actually leave here just yet. Me, Myself and I will have a committee meeting at some stage and come up with a departure date.
The days have been really nice weather so far and quite a few Grey Nomads from the forum are here, Lyn travelling, Norma shadyandme, Michael nu-one Heather gunnadoo Rod rowdyrabbit, Lorraine rainbow kiwi, Brandt kiwi-as, Brian and Cheryl Briche and me dougwe.
I have been having a few problems with my 12 volt system in the Avan but thanks to Brian "Briche" I am getting things sorted in that department, dasically I need to re-wire the system with lager guage wire etc, so I will attack all that in January (Howdy Rigger Mate).
So far we have had get togethers, happy hours, feasts and nights spent around the camp fire chatting, few its hard here but I will keep up the hard work just so you dont have too, thats a price I will just have to live with, you can thank me later.
On Saturday we had a visit from David and Carol Plendo and they came up from Melbourne just to visit us all and came armed with a magnificent fruit cake that David had made, that sure was very nice indeed. It was great to think that someone came that far to meet us all.
Then on Sunday we had another visitor, Judy Barina came up from Melbourne also to visit us all and she too came armed with a banquet of food and that was also very nice indeed, all this food and great people what else do you want in life. I know I speak for all the others here, THANKYOU so much David, Carol and Judy.
Speaking of the weekend, local people started arriving Friday afternoon and set up camp and it was very busy here at Greens Lake for the last two days but no trouble at all, even all the younger people were well behaved and no noise that I heard anyway after about 10.00pm. It was actually entertaining with all the speed boats and people skying etc, with no accidents or stupidity.
Its now Monday and John yeoeleven and I went to Echuca and we left at 8.45am so I could collect some mail I had re-sent to the post office there and stock up with more supplies and John needed the bank, a propane gas bottle and some supplies as well. We both got a few other items also.
I had arranged to meet Marj Happy Wanderer so after that I left John at one end of the Echuca Wharf area and he played Tourist for 30 mins, he then met me at the other end and we returned to Greens Lake arriving around 2.00pm, had lunch and I set up a smaller 12 volt TV to see how things work and all is fine.Yeh, TV at Greens Lake, what luxury.
Well I must go back to this hectic life here at Greens Lake of doing not much at all, the sweat is pouring out of me just thinking about it.
nielnruth, no I havn't checked the BP and out here I don't really care, it's too good to be worried about things like that and besides if it were high I would be tempted to opt out of all the food around here, NOT.
HW, You can share the work load when you you get here tomorrow. Good to catch up yesterday too.
C&P, just check Camps 6 and key the co-ords into your GPS and just do what it tells you, you won't regret it one bit and that I tell you for free.

It's OK K.A. They will all get here and think that's not a green Lake and go away cos it's brown.
Oh, sorry all but I just noticed all the punctuation has gone missing form my post. I'm not sure why as I actually have been doing it in a word document over the last week and it was OK there then just cut and pasted it into here. I got that idea from yeoeleven, smart man is John.

Great report Doug, you certainly captured the relaxed laid back life we witnessed when we visited.
I was very jealous of your life style when we left, but as we thought about it later I think we both realised we are not ready to be full time nomads yet, we both still need the stimulation of the city hustle and bustle. But we are ready to be short term nomads, and we will work towards wintering up north in 2014.
Thanks again for all of your hospitality and wisdom.
I am still at Ayson's Reserve, very quiet with no where the people you had. Parked along side the river with nesting birds and some with young above my rig and a great mob of people here.
If it is clearing near the end of the week I might come back for a night before heading to my destination to play trains for a while.
Regards Brian
