Been talking to son in Biggenden, two storms have been through in quick succession. They had just finished chainsawing the felled trees from the back of his property, it took the fence out as well. When the second one came through, large hail stones. The Commercial Hotel lost part of its roof and quite a bit of damage around town.

We have been pretty lucky here in Scarborough. Been watching fronts come through all day on the MET Bureau radar. Most of them seem to split before they get to he Redcliffe Peninsula and follow the high ground around us. Having said that though the rain is pouring down at the moment. Weather forecast for tommorrow is though, mainly sunny.

Ballast2, summer in Qld means storms in between the sunny periods. biggrin

I'm in Gippsland at the moment, but talked to my son in Ippy yesterday. He spent Saturday night on the deck watching the fantastic lighting show. He has a great outlook for storms. They're great to watch as long as there's no damage.

Currently at Camira (near Ipswich) and parked at a mates place till after Christmas.

At lot of rain, wind, thunder and lightening, however were spared the huge hail. However in saying that a couple of suburbs accross the hail damage was horrific. Our mates son is a glazier......busy, busy, busy as you can imagine.

Nothing like a SEQ summer storm.

Cheers and beers
