RE: Shaving Question

I left school quite a while ago and have been cleanshaven twice since then (and a lot of this time certainly included wearing 'a shirt and tie').

The first time was sometime 'back then' after a big party when I awoke to find 1/2 my beard was shaved during the night (no...dont ask disbelief)

and the second time was about three weeks ago to give my dad something to comment on in hospital during his recovery from a series of strokes (it worked smile).

Otherwise I trim it sometimes and grow it sometimes and would like to think I am on top of hygiene and 'social hygiene' too.

So... I simply dont care about 'the packaging' enough, I suppose......but I would ALWAYS be mindful of my wife's preference/opinion if it were otherwise. ...and, as I enter the Nomad era, I dont expect anything to change for me.

I didn't answer because there was no option for when it gets itchy and gives me the S***s.  That could from being clean shaven with a blade and soap to a week and a half and resembling a wanted poster in the Post Office.  Best advice is when the missus has a winge or it gives you the S***s.  The missus only winges on a blue moon and amorous intentions are in the air! so your right for when there is no blue moon, let it grow.  Can anyone remember the last blue moon?

I have also found that good face hair stops pesky bites frm bugs etc, especially sand flies up north when trying to catch fish.

Gday...

I had "mutton-chop" sideburns until I was 19.

Except for a 6 week period back in 1992, I have had a full beard since.

I run a clipper with #2 over the beard every few weeks and tidy up the neck.

Cheers - John

Jeez at nineteen I was lucky to shave once a week and then probably only to make me feel better. Maybe a late bloomer.

From '76 until 2 years have always had a mo or beard or both. shaved it off two years ago when I got sick of it and also it seemed eveyr time I turned around there was a bloke around my age with a white mo/goatee.
