Heard a rumour today that the tracks down to the cliffs edge along the bight have been closed to the general public due to ?????. Hope that its only a rumour as the handbrake an' me will be travelling to SA from West OZ early next year and wanted to check out the views along the way. Has anybody got an update on that.
Hi abes Welcome to the forum, even if the tracks in to the bight are closed its generally not far to walk in to have a look especially worth the time and effort are the Bunda Cliffs and if you ask at either Norseman or Ceduna they will also advise of any closures its also worth checking which direction the wind is blowing and how strong, enjoy the trip there is plenty to see on the way.

It would be because of the cliff edge falling away, I have not heard any news about it but you can always get down to the cliffs at the whalewatching station if you are there at the right time of the year, well worth doing.
Don't foget to get some picture's of the Nullarbor Nymph, if you are lucky enough to see her.
Yes, we heard of a car and van being almost stranded because they started ripping up the track before the car and van had moved out from staying overnight. They got out via the trucks tracks. So now we will have to walk to see the sights but it is still worth it. I'm rather glad they have done this. Back in 1983 my husband got too close for my liking so I jumped out of the car while he was creeping along. The kids thought it was a great joke!
