Hi all. Day before yesterday our M/W died. It has a 5 year warranty so we had to pack it up & send it to Melbourne. Of course us grey nomads don't have big cardboard boxes sitting in our cupboards. So after scavenging around skips behind Harvey Normans etc we found a couple of boxes which we could use (with lots of adaptations & miles of packing tape. Took all day to get it organised & now it is on its way. When they check it out they will send us a new one. We arived in Kandanga today (hinterland of Gympie). Trouble - our sat dish can't find satellite. It just keeps going around, up & down. Unfortunately no phone or internet at Kandanga (to contact experts for help with sat dish) so we had to leave & are now at 6mile R/A just south of Gynpie where both phone & internet work. See what happens. We're both feeling a bit disgruntled. Oh well maybe tomorrow will be good.
kandagal there was a fix for that problem with your sat dish I think-what brand is it please? I will try to find it and get back to you when you let me know what brand

Hi Kandagal. We have just had a phone call from the suppliers of our automatic satellite dish (a Solo Sat ) telling us the transponder for the satellite had been turned off and the dish would now need to be reprogramed. In our case this may mean taking the unit back to Melbourne if we are not capable of reprogramming it.
I'm not saying this is your problem but it might be worth a call to the supplier of your unit.
Hope this helps Dave.

when our sat system was stuffed by my fingers,,, lol, the supplier emailed me a file to reload program/settings. This may be an option if reprogramming is required.
Cheers Baz
